Product FAQ
First, let’s start with what isn’t different between the solo and solo FX. With either protector, you’ll enjoy amazing protection in a fashionable, feature-filled bodysuit.
In terms of differences, the iSkin solo FX features a special pattern emblazoned into the protector material itself. This adds an enhanced fashionable “effect” to the already-elegant solo FX. Additionally, the solo FX arrives with a special screen film that functions as a clear protective face shield when your iPhone screen is on, and transforms into a compact mirror when your iPhone screen is off.
The solo/solo FX is made from a durable material that looks and protects like a hard case, but feels like a soft case. In addition to being thin and bulk–free, the material is also heat and cold resistant, features shock and impact–absorbing qualities, and cleans with remarkable ease.
The solo/solo FX has varying thinness, with a maximum of a mere 1.0mm. The reason for this variation in thinness is because, in order to provide maximum protection with minimum bulk, certain areas of the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS benefit from a slightly less/more thin layer. This varying degree of thinness also helps give the solo/solo FX a solid, substantial feel.
Yes. The solo/solo FX’s earphone opening is designed to fit the standard earphone that came with your iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS.
Yes. We've intentionally left all buttons and ports (except for the volume and power buttons) unobstructed. This ensures that you'll enjoy optimal, convenient access to them whenever you wish.
No. The iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS' dock is designed to work only with a "naked" iPhone 3G (i.e. an unprotected iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS). It is, however, possible to use the solo–equipped iPhone with the Apple Universal Dock, with no plastic inserts.
Yes — the solo or solo FX are both compatible with the revoClip 3G/3GS for solo. And some even better news: you can purchase your revoClip 3G/3GS for solo at the same time as your solo/solo FX — and thereby "make it a duet"!

You should install your solo/solo FX+revoClip 3G/3GS for solo facing outwards only (away from you). We do not recommend installing the device facing inwards (towards you) as this results in a looser grip.
No, not at this time. Currently, because of size differences, only the revoClip for solo is compatible with the solo/solo FX. Please do not use any other iSkin revoClip.
No. Using the iSkin solo/solo FX does not negatively impact the reception capability of the iPhone for both cellular and WiFi connectivity.
For an enhanced audio experience and to beautifully compliment your solo's stylish outfit, we recommend the color–matching CERULEAN XLR advanced earphones.

Easy! Every few weeks or more frequently if necessary, separate the solo/solo FX from the iPhone 3G/iPhone 3GS and gently wash the solo in warm water infused with mild dishwashing soap. Then allow the solo/solo FX to air dry on a flat surface (please DO NOT dry by applying heat to the solo, such as a hair dryer or heating vent). You can also dry the solo by gently wiping with a clean, lint–free cloth as well.
The solo FX SE comes with two (2) amazing screen film: an ultra-clear film and a special mirror film.
The solo FX SE weighs a mere 21 grams.
Yes. The iSkin screen film is adhesive-free, so that you can remove and re-apply it as necessary.
Start by ensuring that the screen is clean of dirt and any finger oils before applying. Then, gently apply the film per the instructions found in the product User Guide. Tip: when applying the film to the iPhone’s surface, use a credit card or similar object to "squeeze" out any air bubbles.
